Overview
For Parents/Carers who are looking for sleep support and have a child/young person under the age of 18 years with traits, undergoing, or diagnosed with autism, ADHD, FASD or sensory processing differences, and live in Tees Valley. Session includes:
- Exploring sleep, why we need to sleep and what makes us sleep
- Why autistic and neurodivergent individuals may experience more difficulties with sleep
- Environmental factors which could be affecting sleep
- Consider sensory needs and strategies/activities which can help to regulate your child prior to bed
- Explore how to ‘put the day to bed’
- How to create a transition from ‘day mode to night mode’
- Ways to talk to your teen about their sleeping difficulties (if applicable)
